Skin Types
Your skin type is as unique as a fingerprint.
It needs a care regime that works to address its specific pH, tone, and the delicate balance of its overall moisture retaining qualities.
Because we all seek that radiance that comes with healthy skin. But what’s your skin type, and what routine do you need to have set in place, to make sure it’s always glowing?
What are the different skin types?
Skin types are usually classified into four different categories: normal skin, dry skin, oily skin, and combination skin. Normal skin is well-balanced, with minimal pores and no major skin concerns. Dry skin feels tight and may appear flaky or dull. Oily skin is shiny and prone to breakouts, while combination skin is a mix of the two extremes.
How to take care of my skin type?
Depending on your skin type, you may need to adjust your skincare routine to ensure that your skin is getting the nutrients it needs. For example, those with dry skin may need to use a more emollient moisturiser, while those with oily skin may need to use a product that contains oil-absorbing ingredients. However, it's important to remember that everyone's skin is unique, so what works for one person may not work for another.
Vaseline® Skin Type Tips
Your skin is a living, breathing organ, susceptible to both environmental influences, and the things you put into your body.
Because of this, it reacts and responds in particular ways as it attempts to adjust to the levels of protection you need for skin comfort.
These influences are varied, though – sun exposure, pollution, smoking – and so your skin may not always get it quite right. The result can be imbalance to the skin, uneven skin tone breakouts and dryness.
Here’s what different skin types may look like:
Combination Skin
This is skin that’s dry and normal in some areas, but oily in others – especially in the part called the T-zone (nose, forehead, and chin).
Some factors combination skin can show are:
- Shininess
- Large pores
- Blackhead breakouts
Dry Skin
This skin type mostly manifests in itchiness, irritation, or inflammation. Some factors can include:
- Dullness
- Redness
- Visible lines
- Flakiness
Oily Skin
Sensitivity in skin is often due to its response to the products you use. Some factors can show as:
- Dryness
- Burning
- Itchiness
Top Tips To Healthier Skin, No Matter The Type

Try these top tips:
1. Moisturise day and night.
